A family passion for generations to come
Among the many papers and writings left by Joaquim João was in his idea planting white grape vineyards and a winery, these were the wishes that Ana, Joana and Edite Alves fulfilled and continue to fulfill.
At this moment, Quinta João Clara, has a total of 26 hectares of vineyards with different soil areas ranging from red clays, sands and limestone clay soils, leaving monovarietals such as Alvarinho, Syrah and Negra Mole, as well as reserves on the Enology of Joana Maçanita, the oenologist who made all dreams turn into wine.

The floral component of Touriga Nacional predominates, with hints of black pepper, which are well integrated with creamy barrel notes. On tasting, it’s concentrated, with round tannins and good elegance. The finish is aromatic and persistent.
